What does holiday package means?
It’s a product which takes care of your Flights, Hotels, Sightseeing, Travel Insurance, Transfers and Visa’s if required into one price. However it’s not necessary every Holiday package includes all above services, it completely depends upon the inclusion and exclusion of the package you are planning to book.

What does Group tour mean?
These are tours which have fixed departure dates and Tour escorts.

Holiday Package needs to be booked how many days prior to the departure?
It is always advisable to book your tour well in advance of your choice to confirm your hotel and Flight reservations.

What does twin sharing room means?
“Two people in one room”

What does "Per person on twin sharing basis means?
This means, the rates are for one person in a room which is shared by two.

What does half-board meal plan include?
A half-board meal plan is inclusive of breakfast and one major meal - either lunch or dinner.

What does Full-board meal plan include?
A Full-board meal plan is inclusive of all 3 meals i.e. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

What about my Visa if I am traveling abroad?
Gotours.in will provide you assistance for filling your visa however to grant you Visa is completely at the discretion of the Embassy.

How do I know if my booking was successful?
We’ll send you an email confirmation for your holidays booking.

What if I don’t get a confirmation of my Holiday Package Booking and my account has been charged?
In this case, you just need to call on our customer care number 022 60020085and we will confirm your package offline if we have received your payment.

Can there be changes done in Holiday Package?
Yes, you can amend the package the way you want it wherever possible by calling our customer care number 022 60020085by paying additional cost or amendment charge if any.

Can I book travel insurance with Gotours.in while buying holiday package?
Yes, we can help you buying Travel Insurance, you just need to visit our Insurance section and buy it online.

I want to buy Foreign Exchange for my International visit, can you help me?
Yes, we can help you buy Foreign Exchange as well, now you can buy Foreign Exchange online by visiting our Forex section.

If I am booking holiday package, can I pay using multiple credit cards for one booking?
No, unfortunately we don’t have this provision to book with multiple credit cards online.

Can I book three adults in one room?
Generally most of the hotels allow guest to book 3 adults in one room by giving an extra bed, however we request you to always reconfirm with our customer support or hotel before booking.

Do I require a passport to travel on a International Holiday?
Yes, you need passport with minimum validity of 6 months from the date of travel. Validity of passport may vary depending upon the country you visit. Also we can assist you in getting your Visa’s done. You just need to visit our visa section and fill in the inquiry form and we will take care of the rest.

What kind of vehicle will be provided for the travel?
The type of vehicle provided during travel would be mentioned in the travel details before you book your holidays. Vehicle type purely depends upon the group size and destinations.

What would be the cancellation charges if I cancel my holiday before departure?
Cancellation charges of the holiday package you are selecting would be mentioned in travel details. Also cancellation charges depend when you are cancelling the package and for which country/city you have booked for. To know more you can call our customer support on 02260020085.

If I am on tour and want to cancel my holiday, how much refund will I get?
If in case you want to cancel your services on tour, there won’t be any refund credited to your account.

If I face any issue on tour, whom should I write to?

What is Travel Insurance?
Travel insurance is a cover for the risks you might face in your trip, overseas or domestic. Typically, it covers death, personal accident, medical expenses, repatriation, loss/ delay of checked baggage, passport loss and third party liability.

Why do I need travel insurance?
Generally travellers travel for Business or holidays. When on tour you do not want anything to ruin your holiday or business trip, but there are certain possibilities of unexpected occurrence like medical emergence, baggage loss, accident or passport loss can leave you stranded in unknown foreign land. Having Travel Insurance protects you from all such perils.

What does a standard travel policy cover?
A standard travel policy covers death, personal accident, medical expenses, repatriation, loss/ delay of checked baggage, passport loss and third party liability.

What is the cost of travel insurance? How is the premium determined?
The cost of travel insurance depends on a number of factors - your age, the duration of your trip, the country you plan to visit and the benefits included in the plan.

How is the premium charged?
The premium is generally charged on a slab basis. There are pre-defined slabs from which you need to select which one you fall into.

What is a TPA?
TPA stands for Third Party Administrator. The most essential service they provide is cashless medical services. They also provide the necessary information to deal with any problem regarding claims.

In case medical treatment is required, is there any need for any pre-approval before hospitalization?
You would need to contact our third party administrator and they would arrange for the cashless claims for the medical treatment.

In case I want to cancel my policy, will I get refund?
It depends on which policy you have taken and when are you cancelling it. For more information you can write our customer care on support@gotours.in.

Hotels



Can we accommodate more than 2 guests in one double room?
Most hotels allow additional guests to stay in a room by charging extra charge as long as the room doesn’t exceed the maximum number of guests allowed per room. If you book a room that cannot accommodate your group, the hotel may cancel your reservation or require that you book additional rooms. If you have doubts, you can check directly with your hotel for their extra guest charges and the maximum number of people allowed in the room you’ve booked.

Do we need to pay separately for children who will be traveling with us?
When making your booking, select the number of children traveling with you from the ‘Children’ drop down box. If you select 1 child, our search will give you the price of a double room with child.

What if I need a specific type of hotel room (non smoking, wheelchair friendly, etc.)?
Contact our Customer Support Team on out number 022 60020085 with your request and we’ll do our best to get you what you ask for. However, your request is ultimately subject to availability when you arrive at the hotel.

Will my credit card be charged when I book my reservation?
Yes, your credit card will be charged immediately for all reservations made through our website.

How do I know if my booking was successful?

Do I need to confirm my booking?
No, you don’t. If you really want to, though, contact us at bookings@gotours.in to confirm your reservation. You can also contact the hotel directly if you prefer.

What if I don’t get a confirmation at the time of booking?
If a confirmation page doesn’t display once you complete your booking, check your email for a confirmation. If you don’t get an email confirmation within fifteen minutes, let us know at bookings@gotours.in and we’ll send you your confirmation details. You could alternatively also log into your account with Gotours.in and check your booking status

I didn’t get an email confirmation. What do I do?
If you don’t receive an email after making a reservation, it could be that you have mentioned wrong email address or your Internet Service Provider must have blocked the email thinking it was spam. Check your spam folder and add our email address bookings@gotours.in to your address book so that it doesn’t get filtered out next time. In the meantime, contact us on our customer care no 022 60020085or write us on bookings@gotours.in so we can send you an email confirmation. You could also check your booking status and details by logging into your account with Gotours.in

How long will it take for the hotel to get my booking information?
Your details should reach hotel within a day’s time. Please note, this does not apply to the bookings made for same day. For more information on this you may contact us on 022 60020085or write us on bookings@gotours.in there are certain reservations that are booked out of an allotment. These rooms are guaranteed and must be paid for when you check out of the hotel. In some cases the hotel won’t have your name on the reservation until approximately 24 hours before you arrive.

What is my hotels checkin time?
Typically, the hotel checkin time is after 2:00 pm (local hotel time) however we request you to please check with your specific hotel for its exact checkin time.

What if I am arriving late? Will hotel hold my room?
Since your reservation is guaranteed with a credit card, hotel is obliged to hold your room until 7 am, the day after your planned your arrival date. However, it is always a good practice to contact the hotel directly and inform them about your arrival details.

Can I get early check in?
Early check in is always subject to availability and the final confirmation rests with the hotel. If you need an early check in, you should contact the hotel directly and place a request.

How do I get a receipt or invoice for my hotel booking?
Your invoice is emailed to you along with the booking confirmation. However, if you have not received your invoice, you could login into your account on our website and follow the below mentioned steps to get an invoice/ receipt copy My Account: My Booking: Search your booking: Print. However, if you don’t have an account with us, drop us a mail at bookings@gotours.in and we would send you a copy of your invoice

Can I cancel my Hotel reservation online?
Domestic Hotels booked on our website can be cancelled online. However, for international hotels you will need to send us an online request for cancellation

What would be the Hotel cancellation charges?
The cancellation charges depend on the hotel, time of stay (‘season’ time, ‘offseason’ time), and time of cancellation. To know what’s applicable in your case, check the hotel’s booking policy mentioned on the booking page while making the reservation. Apart from the cancellation charges levied by the hotel, Gotours.in charges a fee of Rs. 500 for every Domestic hotel cancellation. Charges may differ from Hotel to Hotel for International hotel transactions.

If I need to cancel my hotel booking, what’s the latest I can do this by?
It depends on your hotel. Please go through the hotel’s booking policy mentioned on the booking page while making the reservation. However, please note, irrespective of what the hotel’s booking policy says, you cannot cancel your booking on the day that you’re supposed to checkin.

How will I get refund after I cancel my Hotel booking?
We will credit the money back to the same account you used while making the booking.

How long does it take to process this refund?
Our support team credits the refund within 10 working days for normal cancellation. However it might reflect in your card statement only on the next billing cycle for certain banks. If it has been more than 10 working days, please cross check with the bank or you can get in touch with us on our customer care number 022 60020085or you can write us on bookings@gotours.in

How do I check the status of my refund once I have cancelled my booking?
You can first check with your bank if any refund has been processed from Gotours.in, alternately you can call us on our customer care number 022 60020085or write us on bookings@gotours.in

Can I modify my Hotel booking?
Sorry, we don’t support modification to hotel bookings. You will have to cancel your existing booking and make a new one.

Can I book infant in online hotel booking?
Yes you can book Infant online while booking your domestic hotels, however we request you to please get in touch with our customer support team on our customer care number 022 60020085 in order to book infants while booking International hotels.

Which identity proofs are accepted bu hotels?
For Indian Nationals: You can show Voters ID, Driving License or Passport. For Foreign Nationals: You can show your Passport.

How can I get more information about the hotel?
If you need additional information about any particular Hotel, you can drop us an Email on bookings@gotours.in or you can call on our customer care number 022 60020085.

What is the hotel’s phone no?
Hotel's phone number would be sent to you on completion of your booking.

I have booked with someone else’s Credit card; do I need to carry a copy of the credit card?
All you need to carry is the printout of the confirmation voucher which Gotours.in has sent.

What if I want to request for Airport transfers or other complimentary items?
You can drop us an Email on bookings@gotours.in or you can call on our customer care number 022 60020085 to place your request.

What if I want to change my meal plan?
You can drop us an Email on bookings@gotours.in or you can call on our customer care number 022 60020085 to place your request or you can also get in touch with the Hotel directly.

I want to book air conditioned room only, how will I come to know which room has air condition?
Room categories are always mentioned on website, In case if it’s not mentioned, it means Hotel has Air Conditioned rooms only. If you still want to re-confirm you can reach us on our number 022 60020085or may get in touch with the Hotel directly.

Session Expired What’s this?
You get this message when you spend more than expected time on a particular page. To avoid this, we request you to not spend more time on one particular page and proceed with the booking process. If in case your session gets expired, you need to start from fresh.

I am getting cheaper rate on Hotels from somewhere else, can you match the same?
We have the best available deals in the market and hence there is very low possibility that there could be difference in fares. However if you find anything cheaper than our portal you may send it to us and we will look into the same. While doing this comparison you need to ensure that comparison is done for same date, same hotel, room type and it’s not booked/searched under any promotion.

What is an E Ticket ?
E ticket (electronic tickets) is a paperless electronic document with all the flight details. You can print the same and carry it along with you at the airport counter to check in for your flight.

Can I Book tickets online?
Yes, tickets can be booked online by registering on the website. You can register during booking the ticket as well.

Can I book without registering?
No, booking cannot be allowed without registration as a security measure. You will need to atleast use E-mail address which automatically registers you. It is advisable that you register. This will enable you to access all of your bookings anytime and make changes if any.

What is the maximum number of seats I can book?
A maximum of 4 seats can be booked at one time. If you need to book for more than 4 travelers you will have to recomplete the booking process for the additional travelers. You can also get in touch with us for the same.

I’ve been getting NO flight results on the search page?
We request you to please clear your browser cache (to know more please refer to your browsers FAQ) and try the search again. If you still don’t get any flight results, it may either be because there are no flights available for that route.

How do I know my flight was booked?
You will receive an email and sms confirming your services booked with Gotours.in.

How do I get my eticket details ?
You’ll receive your eticket details to the email address you gave us when you made your reservation.

Once ticket is booked do I need to reconfirm my flight reservations?
No, you don’t. However If you still want to re-confirm, you can do the same by writing to our Customer Support Team at bookings@gotours.in or by contacting the airline directly.

I have received the ticket copy in my mail box; can I also take out a print of my ticket on the portal?
Yes, you will have to login on our portal where you will find the following options My Accounts : My Booking : Search your Flight Booking by date or entering reference number: Print E-ticket.

Do I need to carry the credit card which was used for booking?
Yes, customers will have to carry the credit card or a copy of the credit card with the cardholder’s signature for verification purpose.

Can I book a ticket for my family/friend using my credit card?
Yes, but proof /copy of the Credit Card needs to be submitted /shown at the counter for verification. Hence ask the passenger to carry a copy of the credit card with the cardholder’s signature.

How do I get a boarding pass?
You need to show your confirmed eticket at the checkin counter. The airline representative will issue your boarding pass at that time.

I am not able to book online. What should I do ?
There could be some technical issue because of which your booking is not happening. In case you are stuck at a page and are not able to move forward, please take a screen shot and send it across to our customer support team @ bookings@gotours.in. Alternatively you can also call up our Customer care number 022 60020085for support.


I am not an Indian national and have an international card can I use it online?
Yes, customers can book services using International cards issued in India. However, we do not accept credit cards issued outside India currently.

I do not have an Indian address; can I still book tickets online?
Yes you can. However please specify the temporary address in India in address for communication.

I have put in the wrong age/ my name is not spelt right.
You will have to call the specific airline directly, because they have the final authority in changing the passenger’s details.

I have booked my tickets but need to add my child’s tickets to my booking. How do I do it?
Unfortunately, a child cannot be added to an existing reservation. You will need to book a separate ticket for your child with the airline directly.

Ticket has not been booked, but my money is deducted, what do I do now?
Please do not panic. Your money is safe. My parents are old are there any special fares for senior citizen?
Senior citizen fares are available in case of railway tickets. There are no special fares for flight tickets.

Where can I check my PNR status?
You will need to get in touch with the airline directly.

What is the baggage allowance limitation?
For all the Domestic flights the baggage allowance is 15kgs for checked-in baggage and 5 kgs for cabin baggage. These are subject to change any time hence please confirm the same after booking the tickets with the Airline or our Customer care number 022 60020085.

How many bags can I carry?
It is not the number of bags that is accounted it is the weight that a passenger can carry. However we recommend you to please check on same with the respective Airline.

Can I carry my Laptop/electronic device?
Yes, customers can carry their laptops. However carrying any electronic device is subject to approval by Airport authorities.

Will I get an update in case of delay or pre- schedule?
Yes, from the airline (via mail/sms) we also recommend that you call the airline on the date of travel and re-confirm the timings.

What will happen if I miss the flight?
If you miss your flight the applicable cancellation charges will be levied, if you are at the airport you can approach the airline and re-book your ticket by paying the difference in fare.

Yes you can re-book a new flight; however, it is up to the discretion of the airline. The airline on which you were scheduled to travel may transfer you to another airline or pay you full refund in case you wish to cancel your journey.

I would like to get a seat preference? / Can I get Aisle/ window seat?
Yes, we can help you get a preferred seat of your choice, please call our customer care number - give the reference number or Mail to our support team at bookings@gotours.in. We will definitely send the request from our end to airline; however confirmation of the same is subject to availability from the airline.

Do I need to pay an extra charge for getting a seat of my choice?
Yes, it depends from Airline to Airline; to know more on this we request you to please get in touch with the airline directly.

Can I cancel my ticket online?
Yes, tickets that are booked on our portal www.Gotours.in can be cancelled online.

How many days in advance can I cancel my tickets?
1) Domestic Tickets have to be cancelled at least 4 hrs prior to the departure. 2) International tickets should ideally be cancelled 48 hrs prior to the departure date. The cancellation penalties will vary from airline to airline. Any Last minute cancellation will lead to heavy penalty charges, sometimes No - Show. 3) This depends from Airline to Airline and hence is subject to change without any prior notice.

How do I send a refund request?
You will have to send an online cancellation request form by login on our website and by following below steps - Log-in - My Accounts : My Booking: Flight/rail/hotel: enter reference number: Cancel. At the same time you need to send us an email on bookings@gotours.in mentioning your Reference number.

How do I get back my refund amount?
Once you cancel the booking, our team will check on same with the Airline and if any refund needs to be processed the same would be credited back to the same account (credit / debit card or internet banking) which was used while making booking.

How much time will it take to get the refund?
Refund usually gets credited anytime between 6-7 working days for normal cancellation. If it has been more than 6-7 working days, please cross check with the bank. You can also call our customer care number on 022 60020085to check on your refund status. For partial cancellation we cannot define the time frame as it depends from case to case and Airline to Airline.

The flight I booked was cancelled by the airline. How do I get my money back?
If the flight you booked got cancelled, you are entitled to a full refund, in most cases. We request you to cancel your booking online first. Once you have done this, please send an email on bookings@gotours.in along with your Gotours.in reference ID and if you mention that your flight was cancelled, we will make sure you get a full refund, after verifying the same with the airline.

If I cancel my booking what would be the cancellation charges?
Cancellation charges depend on the Airline, Sector, Class of booking, and time of cancellation. To know what’s applicable in your case, check the fare rules mentioned on the booking page when you’re making your reservation.

I booked my flights on Gotours.in but then cancelled them by directly contacting the airline. How do I claim my refund?
We strongly recommend that you let us know immediately after cancelling directly with the airline. Your refund would be processed back within 7 working days if any.

How can I change the travel date /flight timing after booking my Flights?
You need to call our support team on our Customer care no 022 60020085and we will get it done for you if Airline permits us to do so.

How much foreign exchange can Guest carry on tour?
As per RBI rules and circulars, the Basic Travel Quota (BTQ) per financial year is US$ 10000 or equivalent per person(maximum Cash upto 3000 USD and 7000 USD by Travellers cheque) for leisure traveller and US$ 25000 for business traveller.

Is the Guest required to carry multiple currencies depending upon countries they are going to visit during the tour?
If the local currency of the country you are visiting is easily available in India, you can carry it on your tour. But, Euro and USD are globally accepted currencies and can be easily exchanged in any part of the world.

Is it advisable for Guest to carry foreign exchange in Cash for the tour?
Guest can carry cash with them while on tour, but we suggest them to carry American Express Travelers Cheques as it is accepted around the world. Travelers Cheques will help the Guest to have a control on their expenses and spend within their budget. Also Travelers Cheques are safer because even if it is lost, it can be replaced worldwide, mostly within 24 hours.

What are currency Notes?
Currency notes are the physical notes. In India we typically use notes of Rs. 10,20,50,100,500 and 1000 denomination. Similarly, each currency has its own denomination set.

What is the maximum limit for carrying foreign currency and for foreign currency notes?
Maximum limit for foreign currency per traveller for a leisure trip is USD 10,000 in a year as per Indian regulations but only $3000 can be carried as currency notes as per Indian regulations and the balance has to be carried in the convenient form of Prepaid Forex cards or Foreign Currency Travellers Cheques.

What are the various documents that are needed to buy Foreign Currency Notes?

Always follow the procedure below to keep your money safe. 1. Sign: As soon as possible, sign your name in the upper left corner to help protect yourself in case of loss or theft. 2. Record: Write down your serial numbers and keep them with you when you travel, separate from your Travellers Cheques. 3. Protect: Safeguard your Travellers Cheques as you would cash. 4. Use: To pay, sign your Travellers Cheque in the lower left-hand corner in front of the person accepting your Cheques.

What is the security feature on the Foreign Currency Travellers Cheques?
Every Travellers Cheque issued is secure and has Signature based Security to ensure your money is secure in your hands. Hence, even if they are lost, they cannot be used unless the signatures on your Travellers Cheque and at the encashment point/merchant establishment match along with that on the Photo ID proof.

What do I do if my Foreign Currency Travellers Cheques are lost or stolen?
In case you lose your Travellers Cheque, you can easily report it by following the simple process outlined by American Express below: 1. Locate serial numbers. Have the serial numbers for your lost or stolen Travellers Cheques on hand when you call the American Express Customer Service. 2. Call an American Express Travellers Cheque Customer Service Centre as soon as possible to report the loss and open a claim. Use the search tool on to the right to find the customer service number for your current location. Service Centres handle claims 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 3. What is the validity of the Prepaid Forex Cards?
The Gotours.in Borderless Prepaid Card is reloadable and valid for a period of 5 years from the date of issue printed on the card. Within this period you can use this Prepaid Forex Card as many times as you like. On your next trip overseas, you can recharge your Card at. Simply fill in the reload coupons given to you along with the necessary documents; your Card will be credited with the new amount within hours. This is subject to RBI regulations. Once I get the Prepaid Forex card, can I use the card in India?
Since this is a Foreign Currency card, usage is limited only to foreign countries excluding India, Nepal and Bhutan as per RBI guidelines.

Can I retain the card and reload it for my next trip?

If I have money left on my card, how can I encash it once I come back?
The Card can be encashed only after your return to India. Furthermore, the last transaction done on the card should be more than 10 days prior to the date of encashment. For refund of the residual or unutilized balances you can approach any of the branches irrespective of where the card was issued. You need to complete the refund form and submit a copy of your passport alongwith the form and claim your refund at the best possible rates.

Can I pay for my Foreign Currency in Indian Rupee in cash?
Foreign exchange for your personal/business foreign trip can be purchased against rupee payment in cash only up to Rs. 50,000/-. However, if the Rupee equivalent exceeds Rs. 50,000/-, the entire payment should be made by way of a crossed cheque/ banker’s cheque/ pay order/ demand draft/ debit card / credit card / prepaid card only. Please note that providing a PAN Card is mandatory for payments above INR 25,000.

How much foreign exchange is available for a business trip?
For business trips abroad to countries, (other than to Nepal and Bhutan), you can avail of foreign exchange up to USD 25,000 per visit. Release of foreign exchange exceeding USD 25,000 for business travel abroad (other than to Nepal and Bhutan), irrespective of the period of stay, requires prior permission from the Reserve Bank.

What types of trips are treated as business trips?
Visits in connection with business, deputation by company, attending of an international conference, seminar, specialised training, study tour, apprentice training, etc., are treated as business visits.

How much Foreign Exchange is available to me for my emigration to a foreign country?

You can draw foreign exchange up to USD 100,000 on self- declaration basis from any in India This amount is only to meet the incidental expenses in the country of emigration. No amount of foreign exchange can be remitted outside India to become eligible or for earning points or credits for immigration. All such remittances require prior permission of the Reserve Bank. If your requirement exceeds USD 100,000, you can get the same provided you get a prior approval from the Reserve Bank of India.

For my personal needs, can I carry foreign currency when I am migrating abroad?
Yes. You can carry upto USD 10,000 as per RBI regulations. You can choose from Prepaid Forex Cards in 8 different currencies, Travellers Cheques in 6 different currencies or Currency Notes in 30 different currencies for your requirements. Please note that Foreign Currency Notes can be carried only upto a maximum of USD 3,000. The balance needs to be carried in a Prepaid Forex Card or in Foreign Currency Travellers Cheques.
